Eco-dyeing is a very new and exciting craft. Using only leaves and flowers from the garden, the most amazing prints and dyes can be achieved. At Suffolk Alpaca, you will learn this process, through laying your chosen leaves and flowers out on silk or wool, rolling them up and then steaming or boiling to seal in the colour.

In this workshop you will create a number of samples on silk using a variety of fresh and dried flowers and leaves from the garden. You are very welcome to bring your own flowers and leaves as well to experiment with. These samples can be framed, used in patchwork, in a cushion or to cover a notebook. Warning: it is a very experimental process so results can be disappointing as well as amazing.
